Taysha Fuller

Native American Actress

Taysha Fuller. She is the daughter of Cayuga Nation, Wolf Clan, Dance Teacher and studio owner for 46 years in Ohsweken reservation, Michelle Farmer and Taysha's Father is Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan, Gawnendoden which means Standing Pine. Taysha's Father Standing Pine passed away when she was 9 years old and she created her production company and named it Standing Pine Productions after him. Her uncle is actor, Gary Farmer (her mother, Michelle Farmer's brother). Her great great uncle (on her Fathers side) is Tonto from the Hollywood original, Lone Rangers, Jay Silverheels. She has two older brothers named Jazz Fuller and Dallas Fuller and they each have done work in the industry as well. She has been dancing since she was the age of sixteen months old in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop Lyrical and competing since age three. She has competed for several years winning many National Dance Championships in the U.S.A. & Canada. She was signed to Ford modelling agency at age four. She was in her first film acting in a principle role at age eight. It was a film called, Only The Devil Speaks Cree directed by: Pamela Matthews. Focussing on residential schools. At age nine her father had passed away and the next day she had an audition for Ballet Jorgen Ballet Company's, The Nutcracker, that she had got a part in. When it came to the show day her whole family showed up to support her. At age fourteen she was signed to Elite Model Management World. Modelling in runway and ad campaigns. Taysha also continued to be in TV, Films and Radio. Taysha had her own character, Jess Martello on Teen Nickelodeon and Much Music's: Degrassi The Next Generation. When she turned age eighteen Taysha attended Randolph Academy For The Performing Arts,  in Toronto as a Triple Treat. From there she had worked at Powerhouse Commercial Casting in Toronto as a show runner. She had then went to beauty school and from there she worked on Film Sets doing makeup, and makeup for fashion runway shows. Most recently Taysha had a starring role in Golden Globe winner and 6 Oscar nominated director, Chloe Zhao's film, Songs My Brothers Taught Me. The film had made it to Sundance Film Festival which was Taysha’s second film at Sundance. The film has also made it into Cannes Film Festival. Just last week she was quoted in the interview for The New York Magazine's Cover story on Chloe Zhao. This week Taysha was a special guest in a movie panel with Rev Share Distribution for the film, An Exercise From Winter Count, that Taysha starred in.

She has also recently started a podcast called, Taysha Talks that is now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify Podcasts, Google Podcasts & More platforms! She has only made 2 episodes and already it's on these platforms. With Taysha's business Standing Pine Productions she is currently working on her first film she is producing. Standing Pine Productions is also the One Stop Shop for film crews from all over the world to come to Six Nations Reserve and get locations for film scouting. Standing Pine Productions offers numerous locations throughout the Six Nations reserve to film movies and photography as well. Taysha Fuller is also a professional photographer and her work can be seen via Instagram @tayshafullerphotography
